After quitting Destiny Child, LeToya signed a record deal with Capitol Records. Her solo debut album, LeToya, toped the US Billboard 2000 album chart and was certified platinum by the RIAA. Her second solo album, Lady Love, debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Albums charts. LeToya’s acting career took off with Preacher’s Kid, a Christian-drama based on the Parable of the Prodigal Son followed by HBO drama series Treme and then the VH1 television series Single Ladies. LeToya will portray Dianne Warwick in the upcoming film, Dianne.
